About

I am an Irish illustrator, living and working in Kilkenny city.

I trained at Manchester Metropolitan University in Design for Educational Media, graduating with a first class honours BA in 1984. Since then I have built up a career in illustration, mostly in children's books, both for schools and independent story books. I have also designed banners, posters and packaging. I used to work in watercolours and ink, or coloured pencils, but have moved with the times and now most frequently use programmes such as Adobe Illustrator and Corel Painter, although I enjoy a chance to get back to paper and pencils when possible.
