Most of my work is for educational publishers in Ireland. I have illustrated a wide range of subjects for primary and secondary schools. These examples are from books published by The Educational Company of Ireland (Edco), Folens, C. J. Fallon and more.
A few examples from some light hearted story books for children, plus some unpublished pieces.
Cinderella before transformation!
Johnny Magory books written by Emma-Jane Leeson. I have illustrated eight of these so far and will soon be working on an ninth! They are fun tales of a little Irish boy, Johnny and his little sister Lily-May, and the adventures they have with animal and human friends.
For five years I illustrated the children's fun Christmas magazine Spraoi from Folens publishers. These are the cover artworks.
Nathalie and the Sunflowers is a dual-language book, French and English on opposite pages telling the story of Nathalie and her adventures in a field of sunflowers.
I like to try my hand at calligraphy, combined with illustration. I made a series of 27 scriptural posters for Nature's Way, and also created some presentation scrolls for the musicians in the Fleadh Cheoil one year.
The acrylic paintings are a new interest, one I’m much enjoying at the moment.
I've always enjoyed drawing diagrams, and often have to do them for the school books I work on. Occasionally I have been asked to design a logo. And I like drawing cartoon style pictures when required!
I have designed and made some fabric banners for churches in Ireland. The only trouble is, I don’t have very good pictures of them. Hope to get some better ones later!
